Penny Black

I knew a woman
That could have been
Her name
A stamp and watermark
We are all the same

An indelible print
Or friend and forget?
At the slot machine
Some place a bet

Couples together
Lad’s by the bar
One treating himself
Three pointed star

Talking about work
Women, politics, and sport
Man watching on his own
Penny for a thought?

An eclectic mix
Could be the world in one pub
Relish it all
So here is the rub

Can change what we want
Be happy, strong, and seek
Not just a Penny Black
All are unique

About markious72

Here I wish to let my strange and vivid imagination and opinions run wild. I do hope you like what you read. I would love to be a writer, I won't pretend otherwise. Although it is only in the last couple of years that I have realised it. I guess if it meant to happen it will. Happy reading, happier writing. :-)
